Meet Tim Barstad: Our Founder, Owner, & Principal Architect  Architecture has been a lifelong passion for Humble Home’s founder, owner, and leader, Tim Barstad. His exploration into the field began in high school when he studied hand-drafting and CAD (computer-aided drafting) and began working for a residential architect before graduation in 2006. Four years later, Tim graduated with honors from the University of Colorado in Boulder with a bachelor's degree in environmental design and then began working at an award-winning residential architecture firm. After collaborating on hundreds of design projects, Tim passed the Architect Registration Examinations in 2018 and has been a licensed architect in Colorado ever since.  Tim has continued to nurture his design skills and build his expertise in the field, earning the title of NCARB-certified architect in 2021. In fact, Tim became an award-winning architect early in his career as a few of his designs won the HBA Custom and Remodeling Excellence Award. Forever driven by his enthusiasm for architecture and for serving real people with real stories and lives, Tim sought to establish his own residential architecture firm in Denver. In October of 2022, Tim founded Humble Home Architecture because he saw a need in the Denver market for creative and reliable architectural designs for small to midsize residential projects.
