Designed for a woman living with spinocerebellar ataxia, our task was to reconfigure a tight, compartmentalized area into a spacious, accessible bathroom. Widened doorways, new grab bars, an expanded water closet, a new tile floor, a roll-under sink, and a curbless shower: all these simple changes add up to a bathroom suite that feels open and comfortable, accommodating walker and wheelchair alike.
